Dessire grew up wanting to be a veterinarian and started volunteering after school at her local vet when she was 13 years old. Her first job was at a boarding and grooming facility where she became a certified groomer but still wanted to grow in the veterinary field. Dessire began as a kennel technician and then a client service representative at a clinic in The Woodlands. She then accepted a position as a veterinary technician in 2005 at a small and large animal practice in Livingston. Dessire still has a passion for large animals and dreams to own a farm one day. She has worked for a few clinics and shelters around the Houston area until 2014 when she found a passion for emergency medicine. Dessire was promoted to Assistant Hospital Administrator in 2018 at a local emergency clinic. Dessire has a son named Reece and 2 dogs. JD is a Rottweiler that was abandoned at the emergency clinic in 2014, they instantly fell in love with one another. Reggie is a Doberman mix and was found injured in 2018 at about 3 weeks old. He was brought home to receive all the TLC he deserves. Both of her dogs are blood donors at the local emergency clinic, still saving lives and getting lots of good treats after.
